green governance

Project's Aim

To enable women in Türkiye’s Thrace Region to become influential agents of change in climate action and sustainable development by providing leadership skills, policy advocacy tools, and practical experience.

Project's Objectives

01.

Increase women’s leadership and decision-making capacity in climate change mitigation, adaptation, and green economy initiatives.

02.

Strengthen local and regional governance by integrating women into policy-making processes through Sustainability Councils.

03.

Enhance practical skills in renewable energy, sustainable agriculture, urban sustainability, and green entrepreneurship.

04.

Promote knowledge exchange and advocacy through collaboration with Swedish sustainability experts and digital platforms.

Project at a glance

The project also involves the establishment of three Women’s Climate Councils and the implementation of nine women-led pilot climate projects. Knowledge exchange and networking activities.
